Dr. Rahni earned his medical degree from the SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY.  He completed his internal medical residency at Harvard Medical School-Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  He subsequently received his gastroenterology fellowship training at Brown University School of Medicine, Rhode Island Hospital where he also served as Chief GI Fellow.  Dr. Rahni completed an additional fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at the Dartmouth University Geisel School of Medicine-Hitchcock Medical Center where he received extensive training in the most current advanced therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Rahni’s clinical practice includes general gastroenterology—colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease and liver disease.  His area of special expertise is in advanced procedures including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of Barrett’s esophagus, endoscopic mucosal resection of gastrointestinal tumors, gastrointestinal stenting, pancreatic cyst drainage, as well as pancreatic and biliary diseases.  He has published peer reviewed articles on diverse subjects in gastroenterology in national journals.  Dr. Rahni remains active in research in the areas of endoscopy, pancreatic disease, and biliary diseases.

Dr. Rahni is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine.  He sees patients in the West Orange office and his hospital affiliations include Saint Barnabas and Morristown Medical Centers. He currently serves as the Director of Advanced Endoscopy and Endoscopic Oncology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center.

Dr. Rahni also enjoys spending time with his family and has travelled extensively visiting over 40 countries.  His hobbies include constructing Japanese pond gardens and playing basketball.
